Love & Prayers Needed!

Loni & Eddie

Good Morning, Everyone!

The Ronald McDonald House welcomes another one of our family members.

My Aunt (aka: "Cousin Loni") and her family have been given some heartbreaking news about their baby girl, Veda. You see, Loni is 21 weeks pregnant and Baby Veda has a very large tumor on her stomach that was almost inoperable until ONE Doctor in Cincinnati, Ohio agreed to help them.

Today, Loni, her husband Eddie, their 17 month old and her mother leave for Ohio. They will reside at the Ronald McDonald House until she delivers and they recover. Her Doctor says the baby will need to be delivered in 1-2 weeks. But, if the baby's heart goes into stress before then, the Doctor will have 24-72 hours to operate and be placed back in Loni to continue growing. They will not operate on a baby who's heart is functioning properly. Veda is in perfect health with the exception of this rapidly growing tumor, so we are all remaining hopeful.

All of you know that my sister and her husband, Robbie stayed many weeks at the RMH in Tampa while my niece Bailee remained in ICU for 60 days at All Children's Hospital. They are an amazing organization. Now, the RMH will help another one of our family members and I am putting together a care package for them.

I'm not going to send a list of items they need. You know what you would need if you were staying in a "hotel" environment, a hospital, away from home during the holidays and going through a very stressful time. If we end up with enough items, I will drive it to Ohio myself! Remember, she has a 17 month old (Huston) that will reside there as well. He needs his Mommy to be strong and we want to send her lots of love from home! Loni's husband Eddie (an amazing man) will remain there until they are settled, but with their new gym opening in Tampa two weeks ago, he has to return home after a few days. Another hard obstacle.

Please drop off items that you'd like to donate to my house by Wednesday, December 10th. On that evening, my Aunt Beverly and I will have a "packing party" (exactly what Loni & Eddie would want us to do) and get all of the items packed and ready to be shipped. We want to get it there before the holiday rush.

We pray God's hands are holding Baby Veda and will send her back to Tampa with little Angel wings! Loni and Eddie are amazing parents and have kept smiles on their faces through this entire journey. I can't imagine having to be that strong. Our family is full of brave heroes!

I love all of you. Thank you in advance for your support. I already know, my house will be overflowing with love!
